About the Artist

Mark Dahmke discovered heavenly Hana almost twenty years ago when he saw an ad for a vacation rental called, appropriately, Hale Heavenly Hana. "I've been visiting and exploring Hawaii since the early 80s, but Hana is special--Hawaii as it used to be."

Born and raised in Nebraska, he is co-owner of Information Analytics, a software development and web hosting business in Lincoln, which hosts many Hana websites, including HanaMaui.com, Hale Heavenly Hana, Maui's Best Flowers and Ka'eleku Caverns.

He's also an artist and photographer, and Hawaii is one of his favorite subjects. "I dream of Hawaii when I can't be there. When I first visited Hawaii, I felt that somehow I'd come home. I enjoy trying to capture that feeling in my photographs."
